Turn off any iPad
Turn off iPad using buttons
Press and hold the Touch ID/Power and Volume Down buttons.
Let go of the buttons when the slide to power off appears.
Slide your finger over the slider to turn the device off.
Turn off iPad using Settings
If you have an iPad whose buttons are not working properly, then you can turn off iPad from Settings.
Open Settings and go to the General option.
Scroll up and tap on the ‘Shut Down’ option.
When the slide to power off screen appears, slide your finger over the slider to turn the device off.
Turn on any iPad
You can turn on any iPad by long pressing on the Power button. Let go of the button when you see the Apple logo on the screen.
If your device’s Power button is not working, then you can also turn on iPad by plugging in a power cable.
