Apple has re-released iOS 17.6.1 and iPadOS 17.6.1 and the updated version is now available for download over the air on some iOS device models. This updated version has been released 12 days after the first release of iOS 17.6.1.
Interestingly the new release is available for all models however Apple has only released it over the air on some iPhone and iPad models. The build number for this new release is 21G101, which is different from the build number of the original iOS 17.6.1 release, which was 21G93.
With iOS 17.6.1 Apple fixed a bug that prevented users from enabling and disabling the Advanced Data Protection feature. Apple has not announced what has changed in this updated build of iOS 17.6.1, we believe that it contains some important bug fixes that are relevant to the devices this update has been released over the air.
