In-app purchases allow you to buy additional content and unlock features inside apps. However, if you are facing trouble making in-app purchases on your iPhone or iPad, then you can follow these steps to turn on in-app purchases once again.
After enabling In-app purchases with these steps you will be able to make transactions and unlock new content within iPhone apps.
Enable In-App Purchases
- First of all, launch the Settings app and go to Screen Time.
- Look for the Content & Privacy Restrictions option and tap on it.
- On the next page tap on iTunes & App Store Purchases option.
- Enter the Screen Time password if prompted.
- Find the option for In-App Purchases and tap on it.
- Make sure to select the ‘Allow‘ option. This will enable in-app purchases on your device.
After performing these steps, go to the app where you want to perform in-app purchases and try buying. The transaction should go through this time around.
If in-app purchases are still not working after enabling them, you can try these fixes:
- Make sure your payment method is valid in the App Store.
- Restart your iPhone to refresh the settings.
- Check if there are any pending restrictions set by Family Sharing if you’re part of a family group.
