While the upcoming iPhones are getting all the attention, Apple is also expected to announce new models of iPad Pro in its upcoming event. Previously there have been rumors that Apple will finally bring the iPhone X inspired edge-to-edge display to its premium tablet lineup. In addition to adding the thinner bezels, Apple is also expected to add Face ID to the device, essentially removing the Home Button from it.
Based on the leaked information and alleged schematics website MySmartPrice has posted renders of how the new iPad Pro could look like. While the thinner bezel shown in these renders is something we have already seen in previous renders as well, there’s one thing that sets these renders apart. Instead of having the curved chamfered edges like current and previous iPads, the iPad Pro shown in the renders has squared edges, similar to iPhone 5s.
Another interesting aspect of these renders is the addition of antenna lines at the back of the device, like the ones found on iPhone 7. These antenna lines can be seen at both top and bottom of the device.
The renders also show the Smart Connector on the back of the device ,as we have heard in previous rumors. The SIM tray on the cellular model middle left side.
Apple is holding its media event on September 12, however it is speculated that Apple might not announce the iPad Pros at this particular event. The company might hold a separate event to announce the new iPads, MacBook and other upgraded Macs later this year.
