With WWDC 2018 approaching, rumors about an upcoming iPhone SE 2 seem to be getting stronger day by day suggesting a refresh might be imminent. Now alleged images of the device have appeared showing a familiar design with one noticeable change, which is a glass back to make wireless charging possible.
Contrary to previous rumors this particular leak seems to be retaining the 3.5mm headphones jack, which is a good news for fans of wired headphones. These alleged iPhone SE images come from Chinese social media, so while the design details could potentially be real, the device shown could be a replica as we have seen in previous iPhone leaks coming out of from China.
The device shown in the photos only carry the ‘iPhone’ label, and does not have the FCC regulatory markings on it, suggesting it is allegedly a US model of the device.
While the upcoming iPhone SE 2 is going to have mostly the same design as iPhone 5s and original iPhone SE, it is expected to gain upgraded specs including an A10 processor, better cameras, perhaps a second gen. Touch ID, Qi wireless charging and more. (9to5Mac)
