Apple has released iOS 27.3 beta 1 to developers and it is now available for testing. If you are a developer or an advanced user who wishes to beta test iOS 27.3 on his or her device, then you can download it now over the air.
iOS 27.3 is a major update that is expected to bring a number of new features and improvements to iPhones and iPads.
One of the biggest changes that the users will experience in this update is the addition of Apple’s redesigned Health app, which will be making its way to everyone when iOS 27.3 is publicly released. Apple had released the new Health app for testing in earlier iOS 27.2 betas but pulled in later betas. The same app is now available for testing again.
Apple has also released watchOS 27.3 beta 1 with Siri Recap and Live Rewind features for Apple Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4 users. First betas of iPadOS 27.3, macOS 27.3, tvOS 27.3, and visionOS 27.3 are also available for testing.
New Features and Changes in iOS 27.3 Beta 1
1. Siri AI gains the ability to perform actions in apps. Siri can now carry out tasks in supported apps, including Calendar, Journal, Messages, Music, and more. Users can ask Siri AI what actions it can perform within individual apps to discover its capabilities.
2. Apple brings back its redesigned Health app. The redesigned Health app has returned in iOS 27.3 beta after previously appearing in several iOS 27.2 beta releases. Apple is signaling that the updated app will officially launch with iOS 27.3 before the end of this year.
3. Safari receives several new features. iOS 27.3 and macOS 27.3 introduce vertical tabs, Adaptive Dark Mode, and additional improvements to Safari.
4. Siri AI expands its language support. Apple is adding support for four additional languages: Traditional Chinese, Vietnamese, Turkish, and Norwegian.
5. iPadOS 27.3 introduces new Camera and Apple Pencil capabilities. The update adds support for Siri Mode in the Camera app, along with Visual Intelligence features that work with Apple Pencil.
6. iPhone Duo gets a new Reachability accessibility feature. Unlike traditional Reachability, which moves content toward the bottom of the screen to make taller displays easier to use, the iPhone Duo’s implementation shifts content from either the left or right side of the display, making its wider screen easier to navigate with one hand.
7. StandBy mode gets more customization options on standard iPhone models. The feature now works more like it does on iPhone Duo, allowing users to create multiple configurations of the same digital and analog clock faces and swipe between them. Clock faces can also be customized with different colors and complications, similar to Apple Watch faces.
8. Apple Watch gains new Audio Intelligence features. Siri Recap and Live Rewind are now available for beta testing through watchOS 27.3 beta when paired with an iPhone running iOS 27.3 beta.
9. Apple Fitness+ introduces Gym Strength workouts. The service is expanding its workout offerings with a new Gym Strength program featuring personalized workout plans.
