Apple has just released iOS 27 Developer Beta 5 for developers who are beta testing the upcoming software. If you are a beta tester who is running iOS 27 beta on his or her devices, then head over to Settings and download the new release.
With the release of the fifth iOS 27 beta, we are inching closer to the public release of iOS 27, which is expected to be around mid-September.
The beta 5 comes exactly three weeks after the release of iOS 27 beta 4, which was released on July 20.
Along with iOS 27 beta 5, Apple has also released the following operating system betas for beta testers.
- iPadOS 27 Beta 5
- macOS 27 Golden Gate Beta 5
- watchOS 27 Beta 5
- tvOS 27 Beta 5
- visionOS 27 Beta 5
If you are beta testing any of these operating systems, then you can download the latest release from the software update sections.
Changes in iOS 27 Beta 5
- Updated app icons: Safari, Siri, Remote, and Preview have received updated icons, while several other app icons have been further refined to better match the Liquid Glass design.
- Cellular network indicator: The cellular network type no longer appears in Control Center when the iPhone is connected to Wi-Fi.
- New Search settings: A new “Before Search” section has been added to Search settings, allowing users to control the number of app suggestions, app shortcut suggestions, and recent searches. These settings also affect Search suggestions on the Home Screen.
- Siri voice customization: Siri’s enhanced voice now supports British English.
