Apple is reportedly going to hold its first event of the year 2022 in March or April and is most likely going to announce the third generation iPhone SE at this event.

The report comes from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman who revealed this information in the latest edition of Power On newsletter. iPhone SE is expected to feature 5G support and a faster chip while retaining the same design as the previous generation that includes the home button.

Gurman said the March or April event will be virtual, similar to all of Apple’s media event that have happened ever since the start of the pandemic.

Apple’s March or April events are usually focused on various categories of products. The company held an online event in April of 2020 in which it unveiled the AirTags along with new iPad Pros, 24-inch iMac, Apple TV 4K’s second generation and new color option for iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini.

This year the company could also announce updates to these products along with releasing iPhone SE 3rd generation with 5G and upgraded specs.

In fact there are rumors that suggest a 27-inch iMac and Mac mini with M1 Pro and M1 Max chips could get released at the very same event.
