The wait is finally over folks, Apple has released iOS 13 for everyone and the software updates are now available for download. If you are running iOS 12 or lower on a compatible device, then head over to Software Update section of the Settings app in order to download the update.

iOS 13 features – What’s New
This year Apple has separated the operating systems that power iPhones and iPads. While iPhone and iPod touch are getting the iOS 13 update, those with iPads are getting iPadOS 13.
Both iOS 13 and iPadOS 13 bring new features like the Dark Mode, improved Photos and Reminders apps, New FindMy app, improved Apple Maps, better Siri with new and more natural sounding voice, new video editing features, better privacy and security.
With iOS 13 users also get Memoji Stickers, QuickType swipe keyboard feature, better CarPlay experience with new Light mode interface, faster Face ID and app launching, ARKit 3, Apple Arcade, Font management, improvements to Files app, HomeKit secure video, Siri Shortcuts for Home Automations, better Safari experience and downloads manager feature, AirPods audio sharing, support for PS4 and Xbox One S controllers, redesigned share sheet interface, full-page screenshots and markup, time synced lyrics in Music app, Silence Unknown Callers, better accessibility features, Activity Trends, Health app improvements with Cycle tracking data, Optimized Battery Charging, transit detection in Do Not Disturb mode, Screen Time improvements, Low Data Mode and much more.
iPadOS 13 features
In addition to most features mentioned above, on the iPadOS 13 users also get better Slide Over and Split View features. Now iPad users can have multiple apps in Slide Over mode and switch between them easily. Split View mode now allows users to have the same app in multiple spaces and App Exposé feature lets you see all the spaces you have opened with a single app. Homescreen has also received a redesign in iPadOS 13 and now offers smaller icons. Users also get access to the widgets right on the home screen without having to go to the spotlight screen to access them.
Apple Pencil performance has also improved in this release and it will now offer lower latency on both first and second generation models. The Sidecar feature allows users to connect their iPad with their Mac and use it as a secondary display. This feature will be available with macOS Catalina, which is scheduled to get released in October. Users are also getting better text editing gestures, new floating keyboard with QuickType feature, new Keyboard shortcuts, desktop-class Safari with downloads manager, redesigned Files app, mouse support and more.
iPadOS 13 will be released for all compatible iPads on September 24th.
