Apple has released the iOS 14.1 and iPadOS 14.1 software updates and they are now available for download. The update has been released over-the-air, through iTunes/Finder and direct IPSW downloads.
You can head over to Software Update section of your iPhone or iPad in order to download iOS 14.1 and iPadOS 14 on your device.
iOS 14.1 brings support for the 10-bit HDR video playback and edit in Photos for iPhone models including iPhone 8 or later.
iOS 14.1 and iPadOS 14.1 bring a number of bug fixes and improvements. This update fixes the bug that caused the widgets, folders and icons to appear smaller on home screen, fixes the issue that caused the apps to get removed from folders when moving widgets.
It also fixes the issue where emails in the Mail app were sent from incorrect alias. iOS 14.1 fixes an issue where lock screen emergency call button would overlap with the text input box when the zoomed display mode and alphanumeric passcode settings were enabled.
That’s not it as iOS 14.1 also brings several more bug fixes. This includes fix for an issue that prevented users from downloading or adding songs to their library when viewing album or playlist. The update also solves issue with the Calculator app that caused zeroes to not appear in the Calculator app.
Other fixes issued in this release are related to Apple Watch’s Family Setup feature, issue with streaming video resolution, Files app bugs and more.
