Apple has released iOS 14.6 and iPadOS 14.6 software updates for all compatible devices and they are now available for download. You can download iOS 14.6 IPSW or you can now download the update by heading over to Software Update section of your device.
iOS 14.6 and iPadOS 14.6 come as major releases and bring several new features and changes to iOS devices. With this release Apple has given Apple Card users the ability to share their card with up to 5 family members.
Now users can add family members who are 13 years or older to their Family Sharing Group and allow them to make transactions with the Apple Card. Families can also track usage, set spending limits and controls and build credit together.
iOS 14.6 brings subscription support to the Podcasts app for both channels and individual shows and thus opening new sources of revenues for the publishers.
The recently released AirTag and Find My app also get new features. With iOS 14.6 users can now add an email address instead of a phone number to be displayed in Lost Mode. AirTag can now also show a partially masked phone number of the owner when tapped with a NFC capable devices.
Starting iOS 14.6 Voice Control feature has also received a major change. Now users can unlock their iPhone or iPad using only their voice after a reboot.
Apple has also fixed several bugs with this release including an issue that caused Unlock iPhone with Apple Watch to not work after using Lock iPhone with Apple Watch feature. Other bugs related to the Reminders app, iPhone performance, Bluetooth and Call Blocking Extensions in Settings have been fixed in this release.
