Do you remember the design of the fourth generation iPod touch or an iPod Classic. These devices had a unique silver metallic back that gave a nice mirror-esque look. If latest rumors are to be believed, then that is similar to how one of the four iPhone 8 models is going to look like.
The latest rumor comes from our friend Benjamin Geskin, who claims that the iPhone 8 will come in four different color options, one of which is going to have a mirror-like look. Geskin even shared a sample image of an iPhone 6 in a mirror case to give us an idea how the device might actually look. The image he has shared doesn’t exactly looks like the silver back of an old iPod, however it does have reflective capabilities that are greater than that of Jet Black iPhone 7.
The news and even rumors related to what color options iPhone 8 will be offered in have been scarce, however we did hear from KGI’s Ming-Chi Kuo that Apple will offer the device in fewer colors. Will the mirror-like finish be part of those few color options is anyone’s guess.
While the news about a mirror-esque finish for iPhone 8 seems more interesting, Geskin in his claim also notes that there will be four color options. We have seen mockups that depict iPhone in black and white colors, so it would be interesting to see what fourth color option Apple offers for its device.
As we draw closer to iPhone 8’s expected September announcement we have been hearing variety of different rumors and reports about the device. Just this week we reported that iPhone 8 might not have Touch ID and its wireless charging feature might get delayed.
