Apple Announces Hundreds Of New Emoji That Are Coming With iOS 11.1

Apple is currently running iOS 11.1 beta and is expected to release the software around the time when the new iPhone X starts shipping in November 3rd. Today Apple has announced that hundreds of new emoji will be coming to iPhone and iPad when iOS 11.1 is available for public. Apple says that these emoji will be added to iOS 11.1 developer beta 2 when it becomes available tomorrow. They will also be part of the iOS 11.1 public beta.

The new emoji will consist of gender-neutral characters, clothing options, food types, emotive smiley faces, animals, mythical creatures and more according to Apple’s press release page.

These new emoji are adapted from approved Unicode 10 characters. With the addition of these new emoji Apple is also going to bring emoji announced on World Emoji Day to iOS that includes a bearded person, headscarf, breastfeeding, zombie, new food items like sandwich and coconut and more.

iOS 11.1 will also include Love-You gesture emoji, which is designed after the I love you gesture found in American Sign Language.

If you are interested in trying out iOS 11.1 along with these new emoji then you can either download developer beta 2 when it is released next week, or sign up for the public beta program.
