Today Apple has released the 8GB model of the relatively new iPhone 5c model and it is now available for purchase in different parts of the world. The unexpected yet predictable move has been made as a result of ‘disappointing’ sales of the new model. Apart from the lower storage capacity the new 8GB version of 5c is same as previously available models in terms of specifications, design and features. With the release of an 8GB model the iPhone 5c is now available in 8GB, 16GB and 32GB options.
As of right now the newer model is only available at Apple’s U.K. website and at selective European online stores that includes the stores of U.K. carrier O2. On its official website Apple is selling the device for £429 in unlocked form, which makes it £40 cheaper than the 16GB version available for £469. While the new device has started popping up at European websites it has yet to show up in the US.
Despite the delay it is believed that the device will make it to the US and Asian markets very soon, and is expected to give a boost to iPhone 5c sales by targeting the customers with low budget for smartphones.
