Apple Releases iOS 11.4.1 Beta 2, Updated watchOS 5 Beta To Developers

While iOS 12 developer beta is getting all the attention, Apple has today seeded the second developer beta for iOS 11.4.1 software update and it is now available for download through the developer center and as OTA on devices already running it.

In addition to iOS 11.4.1 developer beta 2, Apple has also seeded second betas for macOS 10.13.6 and tvOS 11.4.1, both of which are now available for download. All of these releases bring minor improvements and bug fixes to the operating system.

Today Apple has also posted an updated version of watchOS 5 beta. The release comes a week after Apple pulled the initial watchOS 5 beta. Apple pulled the original release after there were reports of Apple Watches getting stuck during the installation process.

With updated watchOS 5 beta Apple has fixed the bootloop issue, allowing developers who are interested in trying out the new watchOS 5 beta on their test devices to download it once again.

If you are someone who does not need to test watchOS 5 or you can wait, then it is still advisable to proceed with caution. If your Watch gets bricked during beta installation, then you may have to send it to Apple Store in order to get it fixed.

watchOS 5 is a major update that brings a bunch of new features to watchOS including update Siri Watch face, Workout competitions, new workout types, Walkie Talkie feature and more. It also drops support for the original Apple Watch aka Series 0.
