Apple has released the highly anticipated iOS 18.1 software update for all users. The update is now available for download on all compatible models of iPhone and iPad.
iOS 18.1 is the first major release after iOS 18.0’s September debut. What makes this update exciting is the inclusion of Apple Intelligence, which was missing from the initial iOS 18 release.
Not all Apple Intelligence is included in iOS 18.1, as many will become available with the currently in-beta iOS 18.2.
The features included in this update include Writing Tools, a redesigned Siri interface and enhanced conversation skills, a call recording feature, an intelligent Photos app with smarter search, the Clean Up feature with the ability to remove unwanted objects from an image, a Memories feature that lets users create movies by simply typing a description, ability to summarize text, and more.
The build number for this release is 22B83, which is different from the build number of iOS 18.1 RC that was released last week.
Apple has also released macOS Sequoia 15.1, watchOS 11.1, tvOS 18.1, and visionOS 2.1. You can now download them on their compatible devices.
