Hacker launches OpenJailbreak to keep jailbreak ‘sustainable for future generations’

Infamous iOS hacker Joshua Hill (P0sixninja) has launched a new project for the jailbreak community called the OpenJailbreak. The open source jailbreak framework that is the brain child of the hacker better known for his work on the greenpois0n jailbreak tool aims to keep iOS jailbreak ‘sustainable for future generations’.

For the project P0sixninja has launched a website OpenJailbreak.org that is now accessible to public. The website will allow jailbreak creators, security researchers and developers to get open source components from absinthe and greenpois0n jailbreaks. The website will also enable non-developers to contribute by reporting bugs, issues and feature tracking.

The new OpenJailbreak website will also provide new users with wikis, forums and documents to help them understand how to use the components provided on the website.

As it has been recently launched there’s nothing much available on the website apart from 6 projects. But that number is expected to go up very soon as Joshua hill or P0sixninja says more projects will be posted soon.
