iOS 11.2 Public Beta Is Now Available For Download

Apple has just released the iOS 11.2 Public Beta and it is now available for download. The public beta comes 3 days after Apple released iOS 11.2 developer beta for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. With this public beta release non-developers who don’t have access to paid Developer Account will be able to download and install the iOS 11.2 beta on their devices.

Just like iOS 11.2 developer beta, the public beta release also does not bring any noticeable changes to the operating system.

Alongside iOS 11.2, Apple has also released tvOS 11.2 public beta, which can also be downloaded from the public beta website.

If you are interested in installing iOS 11.2 public beta on your iOS device, then you can do so by following the steps below.

Installing iOS 11.2 Public Beta on iPhone, iPad or iPod touch

  1. First of all sign up to Apple’s Beta Software Program. Remember to use the same Apple ID that you use on your iOS device that will be running the beta. Also, make an up to date backup of your iOS device using iTunes.
  2. Once the sign up process is complete open Safari on your iOS device and then open this link. Download the iOS 11.2 beta Configuration Profile for your device. Follow the on-screen instructions to download and install the profile properly.
  3. After installing the profile go to Settings > General > Software and see if you have an iOS 11.2 update available. If it is then download it OTA. If you are not seeing the update then return to the homescreen, close Settings app from App Switcher and try again.
