As expected Apple has released iOS 15.5 and iPadOS 15.5 beta to developers. The beta is now available for download over-the-air on devices that have Apple’s developer beta profile installed.
The build number for today’s beta release is 19F5047e. iOS 15.5’s beta 1 comes 5 days after Apple had publicly released iOS 15.4.1 update with battery drain fix.
iOS 15.5 is expected to be a minor update as Apple will announce major new features in iOS 16, which is expected to get announced at WWDC 2022 scheduled for June 6.
Along side iOS 15.5 and iPadOS 15.5 Apple has also released first developer beta for macOS Monterey 12.4 as well as watchOS 8.6 beta 1. If you’re a developer who also wishes to beta test these updates, then you can now download them on your devices provided beta profile is installed on them.
While iOS 15.5 beta 1 is expected to be a minor release, we will update this post if any noticeable changes are discovered in this release.
