After keeping the iPhone home screen basic for what now seems like eternity, Apple has been making meaningful changes to iOS that focus on improving the user experience. A few years ago we got the ability to move multiple icons on the home screen in iOS 11, which made it much easier to not only rearrange icons but move them between pages.
In iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 Apple has finally enabled iPhone and iPad users to quickly rearrange pages on their home screen.
Now users can enter the home screen editing mode and access the page editing view, through which they can move the position of pages on the home screen. This makes rearranging icons and pages on the home screen a breeze.
How to rearrange pages in iOS 15
- Users can enter the page editing view by putting app icons in wiggle mode and then tapping on the page dots from the bottom.
- Once they are on the page editing view they can grab a tile for a page and move it to the location of their choice.
The new method of rearranging home screen pages makes the process of editing home screen layout way more convenient than ever before. Previously you had to move each icon to the next page individually or in icon stacks. Since it is not possible to add a folder in an icon stack moving folders was even more difficult.
With the new home screen page moving feature moving icons is a lot more easy.
