Apple has just released the iOS 8.3 beta 3 to its community of registered third-party developers and the update is now available for download. iOS 8.3 beta 3 has been made available for all devices that run iOS 8. The update comes two weeks after the previous beta was made available. Just like previous betas that brought features like diverse emojis, CarPlay related features and an updated login page for Google services, the beta 3 also introduces some interesting changes.
In this beta Apple has packed the Apple Watch app just like it is available with iOS 8.2. Another change that has been seen in this release is the addition of ‘Report Junk’ option that appears on the conversation page when you receive an iMessage from a person who is not in your contact list. This will make reporting spam much easier for the users.
Another iMessage related change found in beta 3 is a new option called ‘Conversation List Filtering’. This allows users to separate messages from people that are in their contact list from the messages coming from unknown phone numbers or email addresses. Another measure to counter iMessage spam.
If you are a registered developer then head to iOS dev center to download the update for your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.
