Last month we reported about a Bloomberg report that revealed Apple’s plans of offering the Apple One digital bundles. In its bundles the company will offer multiple digital services including Apple Music, Apple Arcade, Apple TV+, Apple News+ and iCloud Storage with discounted bundles.
Now it looks like Apple plans to announce these new digital bundles at its upcoming Time Flies event, which is scheduled for September 15. The news comes from 9to5Mac, which claims to have found references to the ‘Apple One’ feature in iOS code. According to the website the code has been found in localized files that are used for iPhone’s Manage Subscription screen.
The references include strings like “Cancel Apple One”, “Keep Apple One” and “You can unsubscribe from Apple One and keep only what you want”. The strings found inside the iOS code clearly suggest that users will be able to cancel their Apple One subscriptions while still being subscribed to the Apple services that they want to continue using.
As we reported in one of our previous posts, this is how Bloomberg says Apple One bundles will look like:
- Tier 1: This basic tier will include Apple Music and Apple TV+ services.
- Tier 2: This tier will include Apple Music, Apple TV+ and Apple Arcade.
- Tier 3: This tier will include Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, Apple News+ and extra iCloud Storage.
In addition to bundling the existing services, previous reports have also suggested that Apple will offer new virtual fitness classes to compete with Peloton’s offerings in its most expensive bundle. And if September 15’s event is going to focus on Apple Watch and iPad, then this seems to be the perfect time to announce the fitness classes.
