iOS hacker iH8Sn0w demos iOS 8.1.1 jailbreak on an iPad

Well known iOS hacker iH8Sn0w has shared a new video online that showcases an iPad running Cydia. What makes this video special is the fact that device that has been shown in the video with a jailbreak is running iOS 8.1.1, which is not jailbreak-able yet. He has credited @XanderKitteh who helped him in achieving this feat. While he has not revealed a lot, he does mentions in the video’s Youtube description that they have used some new research i.e is not bootroom or HFS related. Another interesting thing revealed in the description is that this hack is only working on older devices that feature a 30 pin connector.

iH8Sn0w has made it clear that he is not planning on releasing iOS 8.1.1 jailbreak publicly, not anytime soon at least. He says he will try to make the same method work on the newly released iOS 8.2 beta 1 to see if the same method works or not.
