Report: iPhone SE 3 Event On March 8, Release Of Entry Level MacBook Pro With M2 In 2022

Apple has been expected to hold a media event to announce iPhone SE 3 and iPad Air 5 somewhere in March or April however a solid date was unknown at this point. Now Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman is reporting that the event will be taking place on March 8.

In addition to holding a special spring event to announce new products Apple is also expected to launch new Macs this year with the new M2 chip. One of the machines that is going to be targeted towards professionals is an entry-level MacBook Pro with M2 chip. This particular MacBook Pro, whose processor would be less powerful than the chip found in M1 Pro and M1 Max MacBook Pros will lack ProMotion display.

A MacBook Pro isn’t the only device on Apple’s 2022 M2 pipeline, as Apple is also expected to launch refreshed MacBook Air, 24-inch iMac an entry level Mac mini.

Speaking of Mac mini Gurman in his PowerOn newsletter says Apple will launch a powerful high-end Mac mini model with M1 Pro and M1 Max chips. This new Mac mini will be targeted towards pros who want more power from a desktop machine.

Apple’s iPhone SE third- generation, which is expected to launch at the March 8 event is going to have the same design as the previous generation featuring a 4.7-inch display and Touch ID home button. The biggest selling point of the new iPhone will be 5G antennas and faster A15 chip.

iPad Air 5 is also going to be an incremental update with Apple refreshing the iPad Air 4 with faster chip, 5G capability for cellular models, Center Stage camera and more.
