Apple’s arch rival Samsung has today announced new products that will be competing with the new models of iPhone and the Apple Watch expected to launch next month. The company has unveiled a brand new Galaxy Note 9 with some impressive specs that will be competing directly with Apple’s rumored 6.5-inch OLED iPhone and a new Galaxy Watch.
Lets talk about the Galaxy Note 9 first. The device packs a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED ‘Infinity Display’ with a resolution of 2960×1400 pixels. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor and comes in two variants with one having 128GB storage and 6GB RAM while the other sporting a whooping 512GB storage and 8GB of RAM. To power the huge display Note 9 features a 4,000mAh battery. Other notable specifications of the device include 12-megapixel dual-aperture camera, AKG speakers, USB-C port, a headphone jack, IP68 water and dust proofing, expandable memory with support for up to 1TB of memory card and more.
Samsung has also made changes to the S pen stylus, which is now powered with Bluetooth Low Energy. While this means users will have to charge the stylus in order to be able to use it, there are also some benefits. Now users can use the remote button on the stylus to control camera and perform different functions within different apps. For example they can click the button to take a photo or hold it to switch between front and back cameras.
