Apple’s AirPods upgrade is due this year. The AirPods second generation, which feature the same design as the original AirPods came out back in March 2019. Since two years have already passed the company is expected to launch the redesigned AirPods 3 in the coming weeks.
Over the past few months we have seen several leaks and rumors that suggest the upcoming generation of AirPods will be heavily inspired by AirPods Pro.
Now new images have been shared online by Twitter user LeaksApplePro that claim to show the new design of the AirPods and its charging case.
The product shown in the allegedly leaked photos appears very similar to the design leaks we have seen in the recent past.
Just like we have seen in previous leaks the new AirPods 3 design features a wider charging case while the overall size of the charging case is smaller.
The headphones themselves look like a hybrid version of AirPods 2 and AirPods Pro with a smaller stem and in-ear design (minus the ear tips).
Despite having a similar design AirPods 3 will lack some key features that we have in the AirPods Pro such as Noise Cancellation and Transparency mode.
As for the launch of these new headphones, Apple is expected to launch the AirPods 3 at its rumored March 23rd event.
