Apple is currently beta testing iOS 27 with developers and public beta testers. The major iOS software release has been in beta since June, when it was first announced at WWDC 27.
Now that we are near the end of August and approaching September, many are wondering exactly when Apple will release iOS 27 to the public.
Since Apple has not revealed the iOS 27 release date yet, today, we will explore the possible release dates for the operating system.
Looking at the past releases of iOS, we know that Apple usually releases major iOS updates to the public on a Monday.
For example, iOS 26 was release of Monday, September 15, and iOS 18 was released on Monday, September 16. Past releases of iOS 17 and iOS 16 have followed a similar trend and were released in mid-September on a Monday.
Apple is also expected to unveil its next-generation iPhone lineup at a special media event on September 9. In recent years, Apple has typically released major iOS updates about a week after its iPhone event, suggesting that iOS 27 could be publicly released as early as Monday, September 14.
So all signs point to the iOS 27 Release Date being Monday, September 14.
