Second Developer Betas For macOS Mojave, watchOS 5 And tvOS 12 Released

We just reported about Apple releasing iOS 12 beta 2 to developers, however that is not the only major operating system to get a second developer beta today. The company has also seeded beta 2 for macOS Mojave, watchOS 5 beta 2 and tvOS 12, all of which are now available for download on compatible devices.

Lets talk about macOS Mojave second beta first. This release brings a number of changes to the desktop operating system’s developer beta that includes a new software updates screen that are now managed through System Preferences and not Mac App Store. In the second beta Apple has also made it possible for users to make the Mac App Store window narrower than default. A change to how dark mode works has also been made, as now whenever user opens the Apple Maps app while dark mode is enabled the app will display night map automatically.

Next up is watchOS 5. Apple had to pull the initial watchOS 5 beta due to the software causing devices to brick during update process. After re-releasing the beta 1, today Apple has seeded watchOS 5 developer beta 2 and it is now available for download as OTA and through developer center.

In beta 2 Apple has made changes to the new walkie talkie feature, which now shows friend suggestions to the user. A new Now Playing indicator has been added for the watch face. This update also makes Siri’s voice volume separate from system alert volume.
