3D Touch enabled iPhones offer Live Wallpapers, however iOS’s animated wallpaper feature is far from perfect. Users are required to pressure tap on their iPhone’s lockscreen to make the animated wallpaper move, which defeats the whole purpose of having a dynamic wallpaper.
A new jailbreak tweak called the AutoDynamicWallpaper solves this by bringing fully animating wallpapers to 3D Touch enabled devices. With this tweak users can choose any Live Photo as their wallpaper, and have it animate as soon as they wake up their device. With this tweak installed you no longer have to pressure tap on your screen in order to animate the Live wallpaper.
The great thing about the AutoDynamicWallpaper tweak is that it modifies the system code for live wallpapers instead of introducing an extra player. This helps in keeping the tweak power efficient.
From tweak’s settings page you can enable or disable the tweak, enable looping and activate the Live wallpaper feature of the Notification Center.
You can download the AutoDynamicWallpaper tweak from Cydia, where it is available for $2.99. It works with all jailbroken devices including A12. However iPhone XR is not supported currently. If you have an older non-3D Touch iPhone such as the iPhone 6, then you can use LivePhotoForNon3DTouch tweak and then use this tweak to enable animated live wallpapers on your device. The tweak is compatible with iOS 9, iOS 10, iOS 11 and iOS 12.
