It has been discovered that the iPhone 7, which has a taptic engine based home button instead of a usual mechanical home button found on older devices offers an on-screen button in case the physical one fails. It displays a grey circle on the screen that users can tap, allowing users to perform all the functions of the home button. A new Cydia tweak called Domum brings the same feature to jailbroken iOS. The difference being you can use this tweak any time you like and not just when your home button is not working.
Just like the on-screen button the tweak displays a grey circle on the screen that you can tap. When tapped the circle performs exactly like the home button allowing you to return to the homescreen or launch the app switcher. While the Domum tweak is available in Cydia under developer’s own repo, it currently lacks many useful features including ability for users to auto-hide it in apps or Activator support. We hope those will be added by the developer soon.
You can download the Domum tweak from Cydia for free. Just add ‘https://shade-zepheri.github.io’ to your Cydia sources.
