Prism tweak adds visualizations to stock Music app

Prism tweak (1)

With the release of iOS 8.4 we saw the stock Music app getting a major redesign. While a lot of visual changes were made to the app, we still didn’t get the visualization feature that many users have been asking for years. The new Prism tweak for Music app takes care of this problem by adding two different visualizations to the Music app. The best thing about Prism is that it offers many customization options, including the ability for users to change the look of the visualizations.

Users get to choose from two themes named ‘spectrum’ and ‘beat’. The spectrum theme shown in the screenshot above features linear bar design. It also offers many customization options. Beat theme on the other hand is a pulsating circle theme, shown below. After the tweak has been installed on your device you can tap and hold on the artwork area to enable the visualizations. You can do the same to turn them off.

Users also get the option to either choose a specific color for the visualizations or they can enable the option that will make the tweak choose colors most suitable for each song’s album art.

Prism tweak works on all songs in the music library, Apple Music streaming etc. However it does not work with the songs playing on the Beats 1 radio.

You can download Prism tweak for jailbroken iOS devices from Cydia for $1.50. It requires iOS 8.4 to work.
