iOS 18 comes with built-in Shazam integration, which allows iPhone users to quickly find out which song is playing around them through the Music Recognition feature.
The Music Recognition feature is available through the Control Center, where users can tap on a button and make their iPhone recognize the music that is playing around them.
In addition to using the dedicated Music Recognition button, users can also ask Siri to recognize the song by saying something like ‘Siri, what song is this?’.
In this guide, we will show you how you can add the Shazam button to the Control Center and use it on your iPhone running iOS 18 or later.
Add Shazam to iPhone
- Access the Control Center by swiping down from the top right corner and tapping on the ‘+’ button from the top left corner.
- Tap on the Add a Control option from the bottom.
- On the Controls screen type ‘Music Recognition’ and add its control to the Control Center.
- Now to use Shazam and find out which song is playing simply press this button and let the iPhone work its magic.
After the song has been recognized, you will be able to see the song’s name, artist’s name, artwork, and a button that will let you quickly play it in Apple Music.
