Many new Apple Watch seem confused about the Red Dot on their Watch’s screen. The Red Dot shows up on the watch face screen.

The answer to this questions is pretty simple. Apple Watch’s Red Dot is basically a notification indicator that tells the user that they have pending or unread notifications.

Any pending notification will cause Apple Watch to display a Red Dot on top of its screen while the watch face screen is showing. The pending notification could include any notification from an app, text message, missed call, email, Activity alert etc.

How to get rid of Red Dot on Apple Watch

You can simply get rid of the Red Dot on Apple Watch’s screen by swiping down on the watch face screen. Doing so will let you check any pending notifications that are available on your device.

After you have viewed the notifications the Red Dot will disappear.

While you do not need to dismiss notifications in order to get rid of Red Dot you can quickly clear all notifications on Apple Watch by scroll all the way up and tapping on ‘Clear All’ button.
