If you own an Apple Watch, then you may have noticed that when you are in an app you cannot access watchOS’s Notification Center nor its Control Center. Same is true for the home screen that also blocks access to these sections. If you want to access these sections of the Apple Watch you are forced to return to the watch face screen where you can pull down to access the Notification Center or pull up for Control Center.
However there’s a hidden way that lets you easily access both of these watchOS sections within apps, without having to exit the app you are currently using. Below you can find the simple way of accessing Notification Center and Control Center within any app. Sadly this does not work on home screen, however having access to these screens is more important within apps anyway.
To access Notification Center: You can get access to Notification Center of your Apple Watch while in an app by long pressing at the top of the screen. When you press for 1-2 seconds the Notification Center will appear. Simply pull down to expand it.
To access Control Center: You can get access to Control Center of your Apple Watch while in an app by long pressing at the bottom of the screen. When you press for a 1-2 seconds the Control Center will appear. Simply pull up to expand it.
This hidden watchOS trick works in all stock and third-party apps. While you are here, why not check out another hidden Apple Watch trick that lets you access different Stopwatch versions.
