If your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch is jailbroken then it is a good idea to install AFC2 package on it. Installing this package from Cydia will give you full access to the filesystem of your iOS 8.3 powered device over USB. AFC2 is an essential tool without which apps like iFunbox or iExplorer cannot get access to the root filesystem. Having this access is important for a variety of reason.

TaiG 2.1.2 does not install this tool automatically, however TaiG team has released AFC2 package on its official repository for anyone who needs it. You can install AFC2 or ‘Apple File Conduit “2”‘ on your iOS 8.1.3 – iOS 8.3 powered device by following the simple steps below.

1. On your jailbroken device open Cydia and tap on the ‘Sources’ tab. Hit the ‘Edit’ button and then tap on ‘Add’.

2. Type ‘http://apt.taig.com’ into the address bar and hit the ‘Add Source’ button.

3. After the source has been added and Cydia is done refreshing, tap on ‘Changes’ tab and look for ‘TaiG AFC2’. Install this package. Alternatively, you can use Cydia’s search tab to find this package.

Doing so will give you root access when you are using apps like iExplorer and you will be able to do much more with your device than you could before.
