Do you want to make Siri speak more and give more spoken responses? Or perhaps you want Siri to be more silent and give you silent responses as much as possible.
In this guide, we will show you how you can change Siri’s behavior and make it more or less talkative. You can follow these steps on any iPhone that is running iOS 18 or later.
By default, the ‘Automatic’ option is selected. When this is selected Siri uses on-device intelligence to determine when it should speak and when it should give you silent responses. You can change this and get more control over Siri with this guide.
Make Siri speak more or less
- Open Settings and go to the Accessibility option.
- On the Accessibility page find and tap on the Siri option.
- On the next screen look under the Spoken Responses heading. By default, Automatic will be selected.
- Choose the Prefer Silent Responses option to make Siri speak less and give you silent responses more often. Siri will only speak when you are driving or using headphones.
- If you wish to have Siri speak more, then choose the Prefer Spoken Responses option. When this option is selected Siri will speak the query results more often.
That’s it, this is how you can make Siri speak more or less on your iPhone. If you have any questions related to this guide, then share them with us in the comments below.
