How To Mute Instagram Friends Without Unfollowing
To mute an Instagram user you have to perform the following steps.
- Open the profile of the person you want mute.
- Tap on the ‘…‘ button from the top right.
- From the menu tap on the ‘Mute’ button.
- Now you will get two options that will allow you to mute posts as well as stories. Tap on the one you want to activate.
In addition to opening the profile you also have the option to mute users by tapping on the ‘…‘ button found on the corner of the posts.
After you have muted photos and/or stories for a user you will no longer see their posts and stories in your feed. You can still visit their profile and like photos or watch stories if you like.
