iOS 18.1 beta 2

Two weeks after the release of the first beta, Apple has today released iOS 18.1 developer beta 2 and it is now available for download. iOS 18.1 beta 2 has been released for all iOS 18 compatible iPhones and iPads and can be downloaded on devices that are on the iOS 18.1 developer beta program.

iOS 18.1 is the next version of iOS 18.0, which is also being beta-tested by Apple. Unlike iOS 18.0, users can try out Apple Intelligence features like Writing tools, redesigned Siri, other features like Phone call recording, and more.

Apple has also released iOS 18 developer beta 6 for developers.

If you are running iOS 18.1 beta 1, then you can go to Settings -> General -> Software Update and install the beta 2 on your devices.

If you’re running iOS 17 or iOS 18.0 beta on your device, then you can download iOS 18.1 by going to Settings -> General -> Software Update -> Beta Updates and selecting iOS 18.1 Developer Beta. Registration with the Apple Developer Program is mandatory for those who wish to try out iOS 18.1 beta.

If you are installing iOS 18.1 beta for the first time, then make sure you join the waitlist for Apple Intelligence as it is a required step for enabling Apple Intelligence. You will also need to select your device region as US and set Siri language to US English if you reside outside the US.

We will update this post as soon as changes are discovered.
