iOS 13.3.1 Update

Apple has released the iOS 13.3.1 and iPadOS 13.3.1 software updates for all compatible models of iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. The software update is now available for download through over-the-air, IPSW download links and Finder/iTunes. You can now head over to your iOS device’s Settings page to install the update on you device.

The iOS 13.3.1 release is a minor update and focuses on bug fixes and improvements. For example in this release Apple has fixed an issue in the Communication Limits feature of Screen Time that allowed a new contact to be added to the Contacts list without requiring the Screen Time passcode.

The update also solves a Mail app issue that caused the remote images to load even when the ‘Load Remote Images’ setting was specifically disabled. Other bugs fixed in this release include the bug that caused Mail app to display multiple ‘Undo’ dialogs as well as a bug that caused push notifications to not deliver when device was connected to Wi-Fi. Lastly Apple has introduced new Indian English Siri voices for HomePod in this update.

On iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max Apple has given users the ability to turn off location tracking by the new U1 chip. Previously iPhone kept tracking location using its U1 chip even though location tracking was turned off by the user. This issue has now been resolved.

Along with iOS 13.3.1 and iPadOS 13.3.1, Apple has also released watchOS 6.1.2, macOS 10.15.3 and an update for HomePod.
