Apple Releases iOS 16.5 Release Candidate To Beta Testers

Apple has released iOS 16.5 Release Candidate for those beta testing the software through Apple’s Developer and Public Beta programs. Along side iOS 16.5 RC Apple has also released iPadOS 16.5 RC, macOS Ventura 13.4 RC, watchOS 9.5 RC, and tvOS 16.5 RC.

If you are a beta tester, then you can head over to the Software Update section of your device in order to install the latest Release Candidate on your device.

After today’s iOS 16.5 Release Candidate’s release, we can expect Apple to release the final version of iOS 16.5 and other software for everyone by next week. The build number for today’s iOS 16.5 RC is 20F65.

iOS 16.5 is a minor update that brings a number of small changes to iOS devices. This includes a new Pride wallpaper, new Sports tab in Apple News app, My Sports score and Schedule cards in Apple News, bug fixes related to Spotlight, CarPlay, and Screen Time as well as a new way of initiating screen recording with Siri.

Today’s release of iOS 16.5 RC comes a little over a week after Apple released iOS 16.4.1 (a) Rapid Security Response Update to public. Apple said that update brought important security fixes to iOS devices and was recommended for all users.
