We are just 1 month away from Apple’s iPhone 14 announcement. And while we are all wondering what new features and changes the company will introduce in its new iPhone, another thing that is on everyone’s mind is what will be the price of iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro.
Since iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro devices are different set of products with unique features and pricing let’s talk about both separately.
What will be the price of iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max?
This year Apple is expected to launch 2 new iPhone 14 models, which will sit at a lower tier than the 2 Pro models. This includes the 6.1-inch iPhone 14 and a 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Max.
This is the first time ever Apple is launching a 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Max. Previously the largest or ‘Max’ size of the iPhone was reserved for the Pro model only. Now users who want the absolute largest screen iPhone don’t have to spend extra just for the size alone.
According to a report found on a Korean website that we have previously reported here on iOSHacker Apple is not going to increase the price of iPhone 14, and the company plans on selling the next generation model at the same price as that of iPhone 13. iPhone 13 has a starting price of $799, so we can expect iPhone 14 to cost $799 as well.
Things would be different for 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Max model as this is an entirely new device. If we look at previous models than Apple typically charges $100-$150 more for the larger model. If that is true this time as well, then iPhone 14 Max could have a starting price of $899 to $949.
What will be the price of iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max?
Apple is also going to launch iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max this year in September. iPhone 14 Pro is expected to have a screen size of 6.1-inches while iPhone 14 Pro Max will have a screen size of 6.7-inch.
When it comes to pricing there’s some bad news for fans of the Pro models. According to reliable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo Apple is going to increase the price of iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
According to the analyst we can expect to see a price increase of 15% in both of these devices.
If that turns out to be the case, then iPhone 14 Pro will have a starting price of $1149. Similarly with a 15% price increase the price of iPhone 14 Pro Max will be between $1249 to $1299.
While the iPhone 14 Pro price increase is unfortunate, it looks like it is not entirely in Apple’s control. According to Wedbush Securities analyst the price of iPhone14 is increasing when compared to iPhone 13 models is due to the factors affecting global supply chain.
Apple has kept the price of the smaller Pro model the same since iPhone X, which launched at a price of $999 around 5 years ago.
Similarly the price of the large Pro Max model has not changed since the launch of iPhone 11 Pro Max, which launched back in 2019. However this year it looks like we will have a new pricing structure for the iPhone 14 Pro models.
