iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are expected to feature big camera improvements this year. According to leaks that have surfaced over the past few months the device will have a 48-megapixel rear camera.
Now it looks like iPhone 14 Pro’s sensor will also be huge in terms of physical size. This is allegedly revealed in a photo that compares the size of iPhone 13 Pro’s rear camera lenses with a case meant for iPhone 14 Pro. The camera cut outs on the case are huge not just for three rear lenses but also the LiDAR censor and the flashlight.
The iPhone 14 Pro case photos appeared on Korean website Naver by user yeux1122, who has a mixed record of Apple leaks.
Well known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has previously talked about the larger camera bump of the iPhone 14 Pro saying it is larger due to next generation iPhone’s 48-megapixel lens. He added that the diagonal length of the 48-megapixel CIS will increase 25 to 35% while the height of 48-megapixel’s 7P lens will increase by 5-10%.
Apple is going to host its iPhone media event under the headline ‘Far Out’ on September 7.
