OS X 10.10.5 Yosemite with performance and security updates released

Along with iOS 8.4.1 Apple has also released OS X 10.10.5 Yosemite and it is now available for download. The software update can be downloaded from the ‘Updates’ section of the Mac App Store. The release mainly focuses of performance and security improvements specifically for apps like Mail, Photos and QuickTime. The release notes mention OS X 10.10.5 improves “stability, compatibility and security.

If you are running OS X Yosemite on your Mac then head to the Mac App Store and update it. OS X 10.10.5 is an 815MB download.

OS X 10.10.5 Yosemite solves compatibility issues with certain email servers found in th estock Mail app, solves the issue that prevented Windows Media files to play in QuickTime Player and fixes the issue that caused importing issues with GoPro cameras in Photos app.
