Pre-Keynote Leaks: New Files App Plus A Drag And Drop Action For Split View

We are just hours away from Apple’s WWDC keynote at which the company is expected to announce new iOS 11 among other hardware and software products. While we wait for WWDC to kickoff a number of leaks have been published that have revealed two new iOS 11 features that will be available to users.

The first leak revealed by developer Steven Troughton-Smith relates to a new Files app that will be available for download through the App Store. This could also mean that it will come pre-loaded with iOS 11 since all stock apps are now deletable and listed on the App Store for download. No details about the app’s functionality are available yet, however according to the developer that Files app will require iOS 11 to work.

Second leak comes from Apple’s Feedback app, which is an app for iOS beta testers so they can report bugs to Apple. The app according to Steven Troughton-Smith contains an entry labeled Split View/Drag and Drop. While not much is revealed about this new action, its name suggests that it will allow iOS users to drag and drop things like text, images etc from one app to another on the Split View feature of iPad.

We will posting updates during the event on our Twitter account, so make sure you follow us there.
