An upcoming Cydia tweak called QuickScope shows us how iOS’s spotlight search should be like. The tweak as seen in the video above gives a quick access to apps and enable users to perform some very useful tasks such as playing music, performing simple calculations, creating quick sticky notes, sending tweets, getting quick information about movies by simply typing its name in the search field, searching for contacts and performing tasks like calling, sending an SMS or starting a WhatsApp conversation. While all of these feature seem impressive the final version of the tweak may contain even more features that have not been demonstrated in this short intro.

Based on the first look we can certainly say that it looks pretty promising and the way it has been implemented feels native with iOS 7’s interface. The tweak was announced by its developer on Reddit, who is currently looking for beta testers. So if you are interested in getting an early access to QuickScope then do give him a shout out.

No details about its release or pricing are available yet. However since the developer has already started public beta testing we can say that QuickScope tweak might get released in the next few weeks.

Update: Released.
