SwitchShades Tweak Adds Dynamic Color Backgrounds To App Switcher

Looking to make iPhone’s App Switcher more fun to use? Then try the SwitchShades tweak for jailbroken iOS devices. This tweak adds different dynamic colors to the background of the App Switcher that change as you scroll through the app cards of running apps.

SwitchShades matches the app switcher background with the app icon color, transitioning the background color as you scroll. In addition to allowing users to add colors of app icon to the app switcher’s background users can also choose to have the background coloring based on the app snapshot. Users also get to set the level of transparency for the background colors.

All of tweak’s customizations that includes ability to set background color based on app icon and snapshot as well as transparency can be configured from tweak’s preferences page.

Tweak’s developer says it is fully optimized and you should not feel any performance issues when using it on your jailbroken iPhone.

SwitchShades tweak is compatible with all of the iOS versions released after iOS 11.0 including iOS 14. You can download it from the Chariz repo where it is available for $1.49.
