iPhone 7 event main

The day every iPhone fan has been waiting for is finally here as Apple has finally revealed the official announcement date for iPhone 7 and possibly the new Apple Watch 2. The confirmation came in the form of an invitation that was sent to major news and media publications, who are invited to the September 7th event scheduled to take place at 10AM PT in San Fransisco. The event will take place at the Bill Graham Civic Center. In addition to new iPhone and Watch, it is also expected that Apple will finally announce new and redesigned Macbook Pro models too.

iPhone 7 and the larger iPhone 7 Plus are undoubtedly the most anticipated devices expected to be announced at this event. For the new iPhone Apple is expected to introduce some design changes, however overall look will remain similar to the 6s. Internally iPhone 7 will feature faster A10 processor, a base memory of 32GB or above and a dual camera system exclusively for the Plus model. According to the leaked details this new camera will emulate optical zoom for better photos.

Perhaps the most radical change this new device will bring to the iPhone lineup is that it will be the first Apple device to lose the 3.5mm headphone jack. Instead of the headphone jack the device will deliver audio to headphones through lightning port or Bluetooth. Apple is said to include a free lightning to 3.5mm headphone jack adapter in the box.

Apple Watch 2 is expected to feature faster processors, better battery and built-in GPS capacity. It is also expected to feature better and more powerful fitness sensors.

Apple will be livestreaming the iPhone 7 event on September 7th on its website that will be viewable at starting time of 10AM. iOS, macOS, Apple TV and Windows users will be able to view the livestream on compatible browsers.
