iOS 16.1 Beta 3, iPadOS 16.1 Beta 4 And More Released To Developers

Apple has today seeded iOS 16.1 beta 3 and iPadOS 16.1 beta 4 to developers. The new betas are now available for download over-the-air through the Settings app.

Those who are not running the iOS 16.1 beta already can download iOS 16.1 beta profile and install the update on their device. The build number for iOS 16.1 beta 3 is 20B5056e. iOS 16.1 beta 3’s release comes around a week after the release of beta 2.

iOS 16.1, which is expected to launch in mid-October brings major changes that includes iCloud Shared Photo Library feature, ability for users to delete the Wallet app, Matter support, Clean Energy Charging feature and battery percentage for iPhone’s 12 mini and 13 mini, iPhone XR and iPhone 11.

Along with iOS 16.1 beta 3 for devleopers iPadOS 16.1 beta 4 is also available for download to developers. This particular release of iPadOS 16.1 brings bug fixes and improvements, as Apple prepares iPadOS 16.1’s big public release in October. iPadOS 16.1 beta 4 also adds Stage Manager support for some non-M1 chip iPad models.

This is the first time ever that Apple is releasing a major version of iPadOS separate from iOS 16 and skipping iPadOS 16.0 altogether in favor of iPadOS 16.1.

With iPadOS 16.1 Apple will be bringing many features that we have seen on the iPhone with iOS 16 to iPads along with some other iPad exclusive features that includes Stage Manager multitasking for M1 chip equipped iPad Pro and iPad Air. A new Weather app for the iPad is also being introduced in iPadOS 16.1 for the first time.

Today Apple has also released macOS 13 Ventura beta 9, watcOS 9.1 beta 3 and tvOS 16.1 beta 3 to developers, and they too can be downloaded on devices that are running betas.
