macOS Monterey 12.3.1 Released With Fixes For Bluetooth And Display

Along side iOS 15.4.1 Apple has also released macOS Monterey 12.3.1 update and it is now available on all compatible Macs. The update has been released just a few weeks after the major macOS Monterey 12.3.1 update was released with big features like Universal Control.

You can now download macOS Monterey 12.3.1 on your computer by clicking on the Apple logo from the top menu bar and then clicking on About This Mac. Then click on Software Update… in order to check for new release.

Apple’s release notes for macOS Monterey 12.3.1 note that this update has fixed the issues that users were facing when connecting Bluetooth devices with their Mac. In particular this update has fixed the problem where game controllers would get disconnected from Macs after playing audio through particular Beats headphones.

This update fixes the following issues:
– USB-C or Thunderbolt external display does not turn on when connected to Mac mini (2018) as a second display
– Bluetooth devices, such as game controllers, may disconnect from your Mac after playing audio through some Beats headphones

This update has also fixed the widely reported issue that caused USB-C or Thunderbolt external displays to not turn on when connected to Mac mini (2018) as a secondary display.
