As expected Apple has released iOS 16.2 Release Candidate and it is now available for download on all devices. With the release of iOS 16.2 RC we can expect Apple to release the final version of the operating system to public in the very near future. Today release follows last week’s release of iOS 16.2 beta 4.
If you are an Apple developer who is beta testing iOS 16.2, then you can head over to the software update section of your device in order to download it. Along with new iOS update, Apple has also released iPadOS 16.2 Release Candidate.
With iOS 16.2 Release Candidate Apple has added several changes in iOS 16.2 including enhancements for end-to-end encryption across various Apple services and support for the new Apple Music Sing feature.
Today Apple has also released Release Candidates for macOS Ventura 13.1, iPadOS 16.2, tvOS 16.2 and watchOS 9.2. All of these can also be download on the devices.
iOS 16.2 is a major release that is going to bring a number of new features and changes to the iPhones and iPads.
This includes the new Freeform app, enhancements for iPhone 14 Pro’s always-on display feature, Live Activities feature enhancements, Apple News integration with Apple News app, a new architecture for Home app, new Sleep widget, ability for users to report to Apple when Emergency SOS is unintentionally triggered and more.
